Buildingglass is one of two kinds of safety glass regularly used in applications in which standard glass could pose a potential danger.
Buildingglassmainly includes Tempered Glass, Laminated Glass, Insulated Glass, Low-E Glass etc.

Like the tempered glass, the brittle nature of tempered glass causes it to shatter into small ovalshaped pebbles when broken. This eliminates the danger of sharp edges. Due to this property, along with its strength, tempered glass is often referred to as safety glass.

Laminated glassis a type ofsafety glassthat holds together whenshattered. In the event of breaking, it is held in place by an interlayer, typically ofpolyvinyl butyral(PVB), between its two or more layers of glass. The interlayer keeps the layers of glass bonded even when broken, and its high strength prevents the glass from breaking up into large sharp pieces. This produces a characteristic "spider web" cracking pattern when the impact is not enough to completely pierce the glass.

Insulated glazing(IG), more commonly known asdouble glazingis double or tripleglasswindow panesseparated by a vacuum or other gas filled space to reduceheat transferacross a part of thebuilding envelope.
